New Adventures!
I actually have like 5 posts that I should be posting before this one (to stay in chronological order) but I'm just so excited and blessed with this opportunity that I had to share first.
A couple of weeks ago while at the Farmers Market with my parents we stopped into this little coffee shop called Urban Abbey. It's cute, yummy and non-profit! My Dad noticed a sign that said "All these items were not made in a commercial kitchen, but were donated" so of course we were curious about the donation end of it. After a few phone calls, trips to Urban Abbey and test runs, we had a deal.
I take my items to the Abbey of Friday and they hit the shelves on Saturday morning! I currently take Banana Bread and Lemon Pound Cake to the Urban Abbey, but I have a couple different breads I would like to try out!
I'm very blessed to have this opportunity and thankful for the Urban Abbey. The Urban Abbey is also a church! they hold services Sunday nights at 5:30, and are currently in a series called Eat, Pray, Love. Check Out their FaceBook page here.

Cupcake Wars!
I'm currently in a Culinary Skills class in school and recently we had a Cupcake Wars between the kitchens! There are six kitchens and only 2 of them were real competition. (sorry other groups) Our theme was Spring Time.
The first one is a Lemonade Cupcake! (Lemon Cake Mix with lemon cream cheese frosting)

The next one is a Pina Colada Cupcake! (no alcohol was used, I believe it was a pineapple cake mix with coconut frosting??)

Next and lat but not least is my groups cupcake! We did a mock Carmel Delight (the Girl Scout cookie) cupcake! (Chocolate with a hint of coconut cake with caramel frosting topped with toasted coconut and Robins Eggs)

Christmas Cookies!
Now I can't take credit for all of these yummy goodies but I can take credit for the cupcakes and peppermint bark. The cupcakes are both chocolate one with a peanut butter frosting and one with a peppermint frosting. The peppermint bark I saw on Pinterest (a very addicting website you can find me here
I hope these two families enjoyed their goodies!
